I just happen to be one of the graduate students that Dr. Stoothoff mentioned in his post. I have been teaching for 18 years and, although I do love teaching, am ready to move into administration, finishing my Master's in Administration and Supervision in July. And, while my classes have been very informative, I am interested in geting your advice regarding making the career change.
Along that line, I would like to compile a "What Every New Administrator Should Know" list. If you have any suggestions or that one nugget of advice that you wish you'd known when you became an administrator, please let me know. I would love to hear from you!
