Hello! My name is Rachelle and I joined ASBO International as the association’s Graphic Designer in July 2016. I was born and raised in Long Island, NY, married my high school sweetheart at age 19, and have been able to travel all over thanks to my husband’s job in the U.S. Army. While being a stay-at-home mom, I've done various jobs that have taught me valuable life and professional skills and knowledge in everything from sales and customer relations to efficiency and self-discipline.
I enjoy working with children and went back to school in 2010 to become an elementary education teacher, but then took a year off when my husband was deployed. When he returned, I went back to school again and rediscovered my passion in graphic design. Ever since my first animation and design class in high school, I was fascinated with the artistic capabilities of a computer, which changed my traditional view of design forever. In May 2012, I entered an accelerated program at Westwood College and earned my degree in June 2014. During my two years of schooling, I earned a variety of academic recognition awards and was chosen Valedictorian for my graduation class. In January 2015, I began my career at Ricoh/AOL and was part of a design team, but by the following year I was running the entire design department. Afterwards, I joined the ASBO International team and am excited to learn and grow with this wonderful organization.
