Shortly after graduating in 1993 from the Rutgers University MBA program I left the banking industry for public education. My first position was with the Ramapo-Indian Hill Regional High School District as Assistant Business Administrator.
In 1997, I joined West Morris Regional High School District (WMRHSD) as the Business Administrator/Board Secretary. The richness of the experience at the WMRHSD has been interesting, demanding and exciting.
My role within the district is similar to that of a CFO of a business corporation. My responsibility is to oversee all financial and non-instructional aspects of the district’s operation. This includes but is not limited to:
· Budget Preparation and Administration
· Payroll and Benefits
· Facility Operations and Maintenance
· Transportation
· Food Service; and
· Business Office Management.
During my tenure at the WMRHSD I’ve been involved in Morris County Association of School Business Officials and New Jersey Association of School Business Officials. Each has provided me with continuing professional development and brought valuable information and timely resources to the district operations. I’ve had the honor of serving both of these organizations in various leadership roles.
In addition to maintaining financial and operational integrity, my professional goals are to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and efficiency. I believe that ongoing stability and integrity of the district’s financial operations is the greatest service the Business Office provides to our students and the communities that support public education.
Overall, it is a great privilege to be a contributor to the WMRHSD community. I look forward to continuing the support of the academic excellence as well as many athletic and co-curricular opportunities provided at WM
