For a while I’ve felt like action needed to be taken to improve the diversity within our profession. In the U.K. less than 3% of School Business Professionals are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background.
After much thought I decided to go for it and start a network that aims to do something about this. That was the start of the Association of BAME Business Leaders in Education (ABBLed).
It’s been an amazing start and we are already in a position to offer bursaries to Aspiring School Business Managers.
