Innovation Elevated: George Washington’s Crossing of the Delaware – REIMAGINED!

In 1776, George Washington crossed the Delaware River in a strategic military ploy to attack a garrison located in Trenton, New Jersey. He saw beyond the challenges to the value he could create outside the attack itself. The purpose: bolster morale and inspire more men to join the Continentals.

Inspired by the crossing of the Delaware and the leadership George Washington exhibited, join Building Momentum as they take you through a collaborative and interactive activity. Build motorized boats to race and complete various tasks while you learn how to use new tools and encounter challenges along the way.

Much like in the Delaware crossing, this activity goes beyond the assigned tasks and presents an opportunity outside of everyone’s normal day-to-day confines where they can actively practice leadership, apply new knowledge, and hone their skills in a safe environment with outside input.

This activity will help you chart a course to the new and exciting possibilities of your future and the future of our schools.

Objective 2: Identify new ways to actively practice leadership and integrate knowledge.
