I love using storytelling and creativity to serve and inspire. I am a communications and marketing professional with more than thirteen years of experience developing and managing marketing and communication strategies in the non-profit sector.
Before joining the ASBO International team, I worked with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, managing the internal and external communication efforts of NHPCO and its affiliates: National Hospice Foundation and Hospice Action Network. As a member of the NHPCO Strategic Communications Team, I directed outreach efforts, social media, and various initiatives including the award-winning public awareness campaign, Moments of Life: Made Possible by Hospice and the public affairs campaign, My Hospice. Before jumping into the association world, I worked with a small non-profit hospice and palliative care provider in northern New York, where I was the director of development and communications for more than six years. This was truly where my non-profit life began.
I have lived in several different locales across the country, including both coasts, and landed in the D.C. area in 2013. I received my MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno, and my BS in Business from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. In my free time I enjoy participating in Spartan races, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family, friends, and two rambunctious cats.
