Attached are two tables created by the Committee for Education Funding (CEF), an education funding coalition of which ASBO International is a member. These tables outline proposed funding levels for select Department of Education (ED) programs for the 2022 federal fiscal year (FY22) in President Biden's FY22 Budget. One table shows new ED programs and funding levels included in the president's budget request, while the other table shows a more comprehensive list of major ED programs (new and ongoing programs) and their requested funding levels in the FY22 budget. Both tables compare the president's request for FY22 with funding over several fiscal years (FYs 2016-2021) to show program funding increases and decreases.These tables are helpful for understanding the many different ED programs and funding levels requested by the President in the FY22 Budget, which lays out priorities under Biden's American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan. They can serve as helpful advocacy tools as school business leaders advocate for federal education funding with their elected officials.
