New this year at Leadership Forum is the inclusion of a leadership personality assessment. All attendees MUST complete the online leadership personality assessment prior to the deadline to participate in the Leadership Forum. This online assessment takes just 15–20 minutes to complete and provides significant insight into your personal leadership style, preferences, and challenges. Details about how to complete the assessment will be included in your confirmation after registration. If you registered more than two weeks ago and have not received information about your assessment, please contact us at membership@asbointl.org.

 

Are all leaders born?

Science suggests that leadership is 30% genetic and 70% learned. So it’s true that a person can be born with natural leadership abilities, but more people learn and develop their ability to lead. Leadership personality assessments help us determine which skills we need to develop as we learn how to be a better leader.

 

What is a leadership personality assessment?

Leadership personality assessments are designed to identify a person's natural characteristics, motivations, and tendencies. They typically involve responding to a series of statements related to your style and preferences and are usually delivered online as a questionnaire. The goal is to quickly answer the questions based on immediate reactions to get an accurate picture of natural preferences. You don’t want to think about the “right” answer, as there is no “wrong” answer.

 

Why do we need leadership personality assessments?

Leadership personality assessments fuel our leadership development. They allow us to uncover deep insights and understand how to leverage our natural strengths. They allow us to recognize when natural instincts and reactions might be holding us back and use that awareness of problematic personality traits to change behavior.

Which leadership personality assessment will be used for Leadership Forum, and why?

At Leadership Forum we will be using the DiSC Workplace Profile Leadership Assessment.

The DiSC Workplace Profile focuses on:

  • Discovering your DiSC leadership style.
  • Understanding the styles of others.
  • Building more effective relationships.
  • Exploring People-Reading to assist with adapting to others’ styles.

 

The Everything DiSC Workplace Profile provides you with valuable insights that unlock engagement and inspire effective collaboration. Each Leadership Forum participant will receive a personalized, 20-page profile that will explore the priorities that drive your behavior. The DiSC report highlights what comes naturally to you as a leader and what might be challenging when interacting with others. You will gain actionable strategies that will allow you to strengthen your interpersonal interactions at all levels in the workplace and achieve more meaningful, lasting results through effective leadership.
