This week, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has sent out several alerts via its email listserv, which address the following topics:

    • DOL National Dialogue on Implementing the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). Through April 10, 2020, DOL is offering employees/employers a chance to provide their input and share their perspectives to help the department as it develops compliance assistance materials and outreach strategies regarding FFCRA.

This is a chance for school district leaders to share how the law will impact K-12 employers and employees. Feedback gathered will inform DOL compliance, tools, and information shared to help stakeholders understand their rights and responsibilities under FFCRA. Learn more and participate at https://ffcra.ideascale.com.

    • DOL Wage and Hour Division (WHD) Issues Final (Temporary) Rule & Webinar RE: FFCRA. DOL's WHD posted a final temporary rule issuing regulations pursuant to FFCRA, effective April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. Please learn more at https://dol.gov/agencies/whd/ffcra.

WHD will post a recorded webinar today on Friday, April 3, 2020 to provide interested stakeholders a more in-depth description of FFCRA and the rule to help them learn more. WHD invites webinar viewers to call the agency's toll-free help line at 866-4US-WAGE to speak with WHD professionals about any questions they may have. All WHD resources on COVID-19 and FFCRA can be found at https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/pandemic
