For a while I’ve felt like action needed to be taken to improve the diversity within our profession. In the U.K. less than 3% of School Business Professionals are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background. After much thought I decided to go for it and start a network that aims to do something about this. That was the start of the Association of BAME Business Leaders in Education (ABBLed).
