During the registration process, attendees will be asked to select the track they will attend each day. Below are descriptions of the various tracks to assist in making your selections. Of note, attendees may only select one track for each day and will be able to make changes to their track selections onsite as space allows.

Track 1: Strategic Association Leadership
Please add this to your registration if you are:
- An Affiliate Executive Director
- An Affiliate Board Member attending with your board
The Strategic Association Leadership track aims to set forth best practices in board organization, structure, and operations to ensure effective governance at your association. The program will provide insight and resources for creating a high-performing and cohesive board. This track will be presented by Lowell Aplebaum, an expert facilitator specializing in strategic visioning, governance alignment, and board training. You will want to select this track during the registration process if you are an Affiliate Executive Director or an Affiliate Board Member attending with your state association board.
Track 2: Innovative Leadership
Please add this to your registration if you are:
- A School Business Professional, Emeritus Member, or Strategic or Affinity Partner attending to enhance your leadership skills.
The Innovative Leadership track will provide insight on what it means to be an innovative leader and the leadership skills and styles required to promote innovation within your organization. Facilitated by leadership experts, Chris Zervas and Brian Brandt, this track will dig into the various ways an innovative leader can create a culture that enables innovative thinking and behaviors. You will want to select this track during registration if you are a School Business Professional (who is not a board member with their state association), Emeritus member, or Strategic or Affinity Partner looking to enhance your innovative leadership skills.
Track 1: Communication in Leadership
This session focuses on enhancing leadership communication skills, covering key areas such as relationship building, effective listening, and coaching for engagement and retention. Participants will learn strategies for conflict resolution, handling difficult conversations, and navigating generational differences. The session also emphasizes the importance of emotional intelligence and servant leadership in fostering a positive and productive work environment. This session will be facilitated by Chris Zervas and Brian Brandt, leadership experts specializing in communication styles and techniques. You will want to select this track during registration if you are interested in enhancing your communication skills as a leader.
Track 2: Leadership Behaviors
This session delves into key leadership behaviors, including various executive styles and effective decision-making. Participants will explore techniques for inspiring and motivating teams, building strong relationships, and maintaining accountability. Expert facilitators from Admired Leadership, Diana Hong and Alan Nelson, will provide insight into various leadership behaviors including performance evaluation, how to give effective feedback, best practices for coaching and mentoring, etc. You will want to select this track during registration if you are interested in developing strong leadership behaviors.
Friday Fun Activity - Friday Scavenger Hunt and Closing Reception
Join us Friday evening for a fun-filled evening with your colleagues and peers by participating in the Scavenger Hunt and Closing Reception. This year we have organized a team-building scavenger hunt that will guide teams throughout the Tampa Riverwalk as you find various spots and complete challenges learning about the art, culture, and history of the city while also using your newly developed leadership skills to communicate, collaborate, encourage creativity and build trust and respect.
The Hunt will take about 90 minutes and requires walking about 1.5 miles. Please RSVP if you wish to participate and be sure to make an ADA request during the registration process if you require special accommodations.
