My name is Elleka Yost, and I am ASBO International's Director of Advocacy. I manage ASBO International’s federal advocacy program, our PR/media relations, and various research, education, and communications projects. One of my favorite projects is curating content for ASBO publications, including our bi-monthly School Business Leader newsletter.
I am a lifelong learner! At George Mason University, I studied political science, international affairs, public policy, business, economics, and Chinese language and culture. I also lived in China and studied abroad for a year at Beijing Language and Culture University. Before coming to ASBO, I worked in several different industries including education, journalism, and international affairs.
While working for ASBO, I’ve developed a great appreciation of school finance and education policy, and continue to learn more from our members each and every day. I love working with school business professionals to help ensure our schools have the resources they need to help students learn, thrive, and become effective and engaged citizens in society.
In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with my church, traveling the world with my husband, trying new recipes, and playing video games to keep my mind sharp. Please reach out if you need anything. I am happy to help!
