Government Affairs & Communications Coordinator,
ASBO International

My name is Elleka Yost, and I am ASBO International's Government Affairs & Communications Coordinator. I manage the Legislative Action Center website and Legislative Affairs Community on the network, curate content for ASBO International's School Business Leader newsletter, and create a variety of toolkits, PowerPoints, and other communication projects for the association.

I love research and am a lifelong learner! I've studied political science, international affairs, and public policy with a focus on U.S.-Asian relations for more than ten years, and recently acquired an interest in nonprofit management, education, and international development while attending George Mason University. I speak Mandarin Chinese, lived in Beijing for a year, and have a background in research, journalism, and international education. In my spare time I enjoy reading news, debating politics, and playing strategy games to keep my mind sharp. Feel free to connect with me here and on LinkedIn if you'd like!
