Affiliate Executives and Board Members

This cohort is designed explicitly for ASBO state and provincial affiliate executives and their board members. During day 1, members of this cohort will be provided with training specific to their roles as affiliate executives and affiliate board members and will learn how to work better together to accomplish the organization's goals. (In previous years, this was known as the strategic governance symposium held the day before the Forum.) Underlying leadership themes will be threaded throughout the content, allowing for increased communication and collaboration between affiliate executives and their governance teams. If you believe you should be part of this cohort but have not been in communication with your affiliate executive director, please contact the ASBO membership department for more information.

School Business Officials and Their Teams

This cohort is designed for school business officials and their district team members and will focus on the skills needed for success in their school districts. As school business officials, you are responsible for all aspects of a student's education outside of the curriculum, and a well-oiled team is crucial to the successful operations of a school district. This cohort's training focus will be leadership skills, including communication, collaboration, and team building.

Rising Leaders and Luminaries

Regardless where you are in your school business career, you should continue to build your leadership skills. Leading innovation, strategy development, change, and people is critical to being successful as a school business official and will be the focus of training on day 1 for this cohort. Whether you are new to your position, several years in, or a well-seasoned professional (luminary) in the field, this is the cohort for you.
